Gaimin Gladiators Triumph at Bali Major 2023

The third and final Major of the current DPC season concluded on July 9, featuring a showdown between the Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid.

On their path to the final, Team Liquid secured the top spot in Group A (4-4-0) and started the playoffs from the upper bracket. The team defeated PSG.LGD in the quarter-finals (2:1), but lost to Tundra Esports (0:2) and were relegated to the lower bracket. Here, they successively beat 9Pandas (2:1), Quest Esports (2:1), and took their revenge against Tundra Esports (2:0), which paved their way to the grand final.

Gaimin Gladiators, having placed third in Group B (3-4-1), also began their playoff journey from the upper bracket. En route to the grand final, the team triumphed over beastcoast (2:1), Quest Esports (2:1), and Tundra Esports (2:0).

In the best-of-5 Grand Final, the Gaimin Gladiators took the first map. After that, Team Liquid evened the series. However, the Gladiators managed to win two consecutive maps to take the Major championship with a score of 3:1.

For the team, this marked their third Major win of the season. Earlier, they had defeated Team Liquid in the finals of both the Berlin Major and Lima Major.
