Entity and KEV Qualify for Elite League

Two teams have been determined as the first to qualify for the Elite League through regional qualifiers.

In the upper bracket final of the Western Europe qualifiers, Entity faced off against MOUZ. In a best-of-3 series, MOUZ was defeated with a score of 0:2 and fell to the lower bracket, where they will play against the winner of the match between Ninja Penguins and Rest Farmers. Entity earned one of the two slots for the main tournament from the region.

In the qualifiers for China, only one slot was up for grabs, and it was secured by team KEV. The team's lineup includes flyfly, ButterflyEffect, old eLeVeN, imitator, and Undyne_, and they competed against Team Zero (Erika, 7e, Beyond, ponlo, zzq) in a best-of-5 series. KEV won the first map of the grand final, after which the teams exchanged victories on the maps, and the total reached 2:2. The decisive fifth map was won by KEV in 32 minutes.

The Elite League, with a prize pool of $960,000, will take place online from March 31 to April 15. A total of 24 teams will participate, 17 of which are currently known: Team Spirit, BB Team, Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Falcons, Xtreme Gaming, Azure Ray, LGD Gaming, OG, Tundra Esports, Aurora, Shopify Rebellion, HEROIC, Virtus.pro, PSG Quest, KEV.
