Cloud9, Outsiders, G2 and Fnatic advance to the EPL 17 playoffs
The Group A matches of the ESL Pro League Season 17 finished on the evening of February 26th. Based on their results, the four teams that made it to the playoffs were determined.
Cloud9 and Outsiders were the first to make the playoffs from the upper bracket. G2 Esports made the playoffs from the mid bracket (2-1 vs. Fnatic), while the final spot was decided in the lower bracket. Fnatic (2-1 vs. Eternal Fire) earned it.
The group stage of the ESL Pro League Season 17 will continue on March 1st, when the matches of Group B will kick off. Group matches will run until March 5th.
All group stage matches will be best-of-3. The winners of each group will advance to the quarter-finals of the playoffs, the second-placed teams will advance to the playoffs from the second round of the playoffs, and the third- and fourth-placed teams will advance to the playoffs from the first round of the playoffs. The remaining teams will be eliminated from the tournament.
